Just so you know what's going on, I haven't been around for a while due to various issues, one of which is the steadily decreasing health of our family dog, who was left in the care of good friends back home while we were transferred overseas for a couple of years.
As the situation becomes progressively worse with the strong possibility of having to explain to our children why we may indeed need to put our beloved family friend 'to sleep', I of course am not really in a position to keep this blog up-to-date as of the moment.
So I ask you all to bear with me as I deal with this situation, and if anyone has any advice for me on how to handle this situation with children aged between 6 &10, I will surely take it in hand.

Just an idea.
I kinda wish my parents did something like that each time a pet passed. (we had 7 dogs, 25 cats, 1 love bird, 1 turtle, 4 chickens, 2 doves, 1 minah bird, 4 jackson chamelons and 8 fish. so there was a lot of heartache)

Fun Facts
We did eventually have to have her put down.
My non-presence would have alerted you to that fact I'm sure.
But now I'm going to attempt to get things back on board.
Thanks to all of you who have stuck by the blog in this time, it's really been appreciated. : )

I am so sorry to hear about this.
Loss is always difficult, and I hope your kids took it well, as it is usually animals that first tech children about mortality, and it does hurt alot.
We have had mnay pets over the years, not one died naturally, they all had to be euthanised.
Pity we have not the same compassion for humans.
cheers and I hope your household is recovering.

P.S. Maybe the kids would like to make a little 'monument' or some such in the backyard (if you have one there) as a way of celebrating Chloe's life and giving some sense of farewell?
