Pet Fun Facts: Fish, Cats, Dogs
May 11th 2006 00:37
Today's fun facts are about animals once again, but this time they are specifically about pets.
Fish
To start with, Fish. It has long been believed, by scientists as well as by most people, that fish do not feel pain. For details read this, but some researchers now disagree with that. The fun fact about fish then is less a fact and more a lack of facts. Fish may, or may not, feel pain.
Cats
Along the pets line as well I have a cat fun fact, this one curtesyof snapple. Cats have over 100 vocal chords...which is strange, I had always thought of cats as being quite and sedate. Oh well, guess I'm wrong.
Dogs
And as a final fun fact, German Shepherds have 225 million receptors in their nose and that's why they're so great for police work.
So there you go, fun pet facts. Hope you enjoyed,
Adam
