George W. Bush - Not the Only US President To Lose Control Of His Tongue
July 7th 2008 07:22
You probably thought george W. Bush was the only US president to make faux pas such as "You're free. And freedom is beautiful. And, you know, it'll take time to restore chaos and order—order out of chaos. But we will."
And of course my personal favourite,"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB/GYN's aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country."
But actually he's not alone. One of his famous predecessors was also known for the odd slip up or two!
Ronald Regan also made the odd error or 2, including when he called Princess Diana, the Princess Of Wales, "Princess David", not forgetting the infamous speech on Third world countries where he stated that " The United States has much to offer the Third World War!"
One of the best ones came from an incident where he was unaware during a microphone check that they were actually broadcasting live.
"My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."

Do you watch Letterman? For a while there they had a segment called "Great Speeches" or something like that. They would show a montage of some great quotes and then finish it off with some stupid that George W said. Very funny stuff.
I can't believe how much material they had. How many stupid things can one man say?
Love & stuff
