I was looking over a list of the top searches of 2005 on Google and I was a little surprised. Porn was not mentioned anywhere. Now, this suggests to me that either google excluded certain searches from their list, or the list inherently screams porn (or both). Lets have a look - and I'll try to provide a fun fact on a few of them too.
1. Janet Jackson
Well, it may not be quite porn, but I think "wardrobe malfunctions" played at least some role in this search. Like I said, it's not porn, but...
2. Hurricane Katrina
Okay, this certainly isn't porn. I don't know whether the fact that this rated high is a good thing or a bad thing? I guess it depends if searches were out of worry and caring or a desire to stickbeak on misery.
3. tsunami

4. xbox 360
Certainly not porn, although I would guess that a lot of people who play this also watch porn, but I think I may be clutching at straws.
5. Brad Pitt
I'm male, I don't want to think about it, so I wont. Brad Pitt is on this list because people like to know about celebrities, like violent movies and so Brad Pitt has it all. I really do think, though, that google excludes certain searches... (sex, porn, lesbian and all those intellectual topics)
6. Michael Jackson
I'm not even going to go there.
7. American Idol
Well, I know I would prefer to watch porn, but oh well. Fun Fact, in Britain this show is called Pop Idol.
8. Britney Spears
"Kiss me baby one more time" or is that Kylie Minogue? I always get those two confused. So who can guess by now that I'm not a huge fan of that style of music?
Fun Fact: The album "Oops I did it again" was orginally to be named "sunflower"
9. Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie I am more of a fan of...not that I think her music is great, but, well...who cares. In fact, lets have two fun facts for her.
One site claims that, ""Why Sodomize Dragonflies?" is in fact Angelina's favourite saying. I feel enlightened to know that
She was also named one of the worlds fifty most beautiful people by People Magazine.
10. Harry Potter
Harry Potter...my girlfriend thinks he looks cute in the latest film (I think she's nuts). But that's not porn, or it better not be...
Still, anyone who can afford an estate house deserves to be in the top 10
In fact, that's a fun fact, I had heard that J.K. Rowling owns a castle, but it seems that it is only actually an estate house.

Well there you go, I'm almost sure that list excludes some terms, but I'm too lazy to look back and see if google explain exactly what the list is. Maybe it's not even a list of searches at all. Or maybe sex is just less popular than I thought.
Oh well, it was really a fun facts post, but it kind of was, and kind of is good enough for me,
