The Manson bit? One of my favourite True-Crime novels is Vincent Bugliosi's 'Helter Skelter' ...
It's a long time since I read it ... but I do not recall him mentioning that ...
One of the things I most remember about it? ... Manson killed Sharon Tate (Roman Polanski's girlfriend at the time) and how Polanski later had to leave the US (due to having an underage new girlfriend) ...
