Enormous CHOCOLATE Christmas Tree!

December 20th 2006 00:25
chocolate
Recently pastry chefs decided to put together a 6 metre high Chocolate Christmas tree. Here is a link to the video as shown on Reuters that shows the chefs making it. For those using the imperial measurement system, 6 metres is close to 20 feet.

Some well known chocolate ideas.

* Anything tastes better dipped in chocolate.

* I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter....

* Forget about love -- I'd rather fall in chocolate!!!

* Coffee.... Chocolate.... Men....! Some things are just better when they're rich!

* There is nothing better than a good friend - except a good friend with chocolate.

* Chocolate is cheaper than therapy and you don't need an appointment.

* Man cannot live by chocolate alone - but woman can!

* There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles.

* Eat a square meal a day - a box of chocolate.

* Nobody knows the truffles I've seen!

* If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be devastated.

* Chocolate: Here today .... Gone today!

* Nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be.

* Carob is a brown powder made from the pulverized fruit of a Mediterranean evergreen. Some consider carob an adequate substitute for chocolate because it has some similar nutrients (calcium, phosphorus), and because it can, when combined with vegetable fat and sugar, be made to approximate the color and consistency of chocolate. Of course, the same arguments can as persuasively be made in favor of dirt.
~ Sandra Boynton, author of Chocolate: the Consuming Passion

* The 12-step chocoholics program: NEVER BE MORE THAN 12 STEPS AWAY FROM CHOCOLATE! ~ Terry Moore

* I have this theory that chocolate slows down the aging process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance? - Anon.

* Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

* Chocolate causes certain endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. So, eat lots of chocolate.

* Nine out of ten people like chocolate. The tenth person always lies.......

* I don't understand why so many "so called" chocolate lovers complain about the calories in chocolate, when all true chocoholics know that it is a vegetable. It comes from the cocoa bean and beans are veggies. So there you have it!

Melissa,

Put my name down for helping to dispose of it, in the usual manner, of course.

Melissa

Now how can I argue with all that? You've just made this poor chocoholics day.

Love the quote from Sandra Boynton ... that is one extremely intelligent woman!

I'm glad I was able to share some joyous chocolate with you all, just keep an eye on katyzzz, we wouldn't want to to sneak a bigger helping than the rest of us.

Jessicca - you should have seen me when I was pregnant with number 2 baby - I couldn't get enough of the stuff. Consequently, said child looooves chocolate! I guess I should have seen that one coming! ; )

Lilla - Of course linking's OK. : )
You saw the other post about eating your Christmas tree too didn't you? For those who really feel the need to chop down actual trees.

I hadn't seen the book before but I have heard the phrase. There's one I missed. Have you actually read it?

Merry Christmas to anyone I miss from here on in - myself will also be extremely scatty this time of year with family coming down and all. ; )
