Planning Ahead Pays Off? Not Always!

Often when it comes to the movies showing a bank robbery, they show the need for the robbers to plan their heist in advance.
Of course real life isn't anythiing like the movies, especially in this case - unless you're making a comedy that is!
In Leeds, UK, a group of thieves once put together the "perfect plan". They would rent out the vacant shop next door to the bank and break into the bank from there.
The shop was rented and the theives began tunnelling through the floor in the direction of the bank.
Unfortunately for them however, by the time they had completed their tunnel, the bank had actually closed due to be renovated and subsequently had no valuables or cash within!
