Grey squirrels have been known to build nests in many unusual places, such as in cars, chimney's, barbecue grills and under porches rather than in the more cosy household attic.
A squirrel's brain is about the size of a walnut.
Squirrels chew on tree branches to sharpen and clean their teeth. They will also chew on power lines for the same reason which of course can result in lengthy power outages.
A grey squirrel once managed to squeeze its way through the bars of a bird feeder, then ate so many seeds and nuts that it was too fat to get out again.
The EPA has now withdrawn its warning that New Jersey residents should eat squirrels no more than twice a week.
