Idiocy OR Coincidence?!!

September 29th 2008 12:48
bullet
In 1883 Mr Henry Ziegland, broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who consequently committed suicide.

The girl's brother was so enraged that he hunted down Ziegland and shot him.
The brother, thinking that he had killed Ziegland, then turned his gun on himself. However, Ziegland had not died, but simply had been grazed by the bullet which had then then lodged itself in a tree.

Ziegland considering himself a lucky decided to cut down the large tree, which still had the bullet in it. The task seemed so large and extensive that he decided to blow it up with a few sticks of dynamite. The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland's head, killing him.

denim jeans
When Levi Strauss invented jeans during the late 1800's, he did not call his 'strange' pants denim jeans or even jeans at all.

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
In 1939, the management of the Chicago based Montgomery Ward department store decided to ask one of their employees, Robert L. May, to compose a story book for the children visiting their store that Christmas.

Drawing on his own experiences as a child and drawing on the line of thought from Hans Christian Anderson's "The Ugly Duckling", Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer was composed, published and handed out to a total of 2.4 million children.
